COLORADO MOUNTAIN HIGH
HIGH ALTITUDE TIPS
Take special precautions in Aspen's unique environment. Aspen sits at an altitude of 8,040 feet which means that the sun
is much more intense, so be sure to use sunblock. Temperatures range from a high of 80 degrees to a low of 40 degrees,
so always bring extra layers of clothing. To prevent altitude sickness, keep your body hydrated by drinking twice your normal
intake of water. Limit your intake of alcoholic and caffeinated beverages to prevent dehydration. Altitude increases the effects
of alcohol, so be aware of your consumption.
